In this episode we meet Mike Marriott from Peoria, Illinois who found is way to Lansing, Michigan by way of New York City and Long Island, New York. Partly because somewhere along the way he became a Detroit Lions fan. This will be an ongoing series about the arts & entertainment world, aka 'show business' and how it pertains to what's happening in Metro Lansing.

All Artists & Creatives are welcome. The event is free to attend, and craft beer, hard cider, wine, and food are available for purchase.
The idea came about when Opportunity Arts owner Mike Marriott envisioned an event where Mid-Michigan artists could gather together, network, and discuss their art & creativity. “I wanted to see what would happen when a dancer, a musician, a poet, and a film maker were all under the same roof, and began to share creative ideas,” said Marriott. “The more that artists can familiarize themselves with each other’s work, and see how they can work together, the more creativity they will be able to foster as a community.” Opportunity Arts is excited to partner with EagleMonk Pub & Brewery on this event. EagleMonk Pub & Brewery is a huge supporter of local arts with new local artists work on the pub walls every month, & live original music on Wednesdays. This month, a donation from EagleMonk Pub & Brewery’s “Giving Tap” will go to support Happendance’s Public School Education Program, another partnership which Opportunity Arts facilitated.
